SUSTAINABILITY
At Barker Textiles, we are consistently studying new innovative and sustainable solutions to be implemented in our own production. Barker Textiles Zero Waste yarns are based on upcycled yarns from our own fabric waste to ensure minimum waste in our production.
Zero Waste wool blanket is made from yarns consisting of sorted industrial waste from Barker Textiles own production combined with New Zealand virgin wool. With this, we are able to reduce the amount of our textile waste, and the consumption of new raw materials and produce more sustainable products – with the same high quality finish, appearance, and properties as our regular products offer.
Depending on the quality and colour variation, the composition of our recycled wool and the final production may variate from 18% to 47%.
REGENERATED COTTON BLANKET
Regenerated cotton is mechanically fiberized recycled cotton fabric that has been spun into yarns. Regenerated cotton as part of circular economy helps in eliminating waste and continuing the use of existing material resources.
