Our Company
FROM TURKU TO KAUNAS
Barker Textiles started in 1843 in Turku, Finland, as a textile factory. Through many years of growth and change, the company shifted its focus to blanket manufacturing, and in 2001 moved to Kaunas, Lithuania.
Today, we weave blankets that blend heritage and craftsmanship with modern technology.
PASSIONATE ABOUT TEXTILES
Textiles are the foundation of a home’s comfort, speaking through the language of touch, function, and beauty. We believe every technological choice shapes not only the product itself but also its life within the home, which is why our goal is to merge comfort, quality, and design into products that can be trusted and enjoyed for years.
Every product begins with an idea – a sketch, a thought, or a question. From that spark, we bring it to life.

Setting the standard
Certified Products
We believe trust starts with transparency. That’s why we choose independent certifications that support animal welfare, responsible farming, safe materials, and traceable wool. It’s our way of keeping standards high — and making sure you can feel confident in what we create.
In-House Production
Our entire blanket production takes place in-house — from sourcing materials to developing designs, weaving, finishing, and sewing. By keeping every step under one roof, we’re able to maintain consistent quality, respond flexibly to your needs, and keep lead times short.
Going the extra mile
While much of the industry has shifted to synthetics, we remain committed to making natural fibers like wool and cotton more accessible for the home.
As a blanket manufacturer, we recognize the responsibility that comes with working with textiles and natural resources. We continually seek ways to reuse and recycle waste across production, and by managing resources responsibly, we aim to reduce our environmental footprint.
